In the small fishing village of Kounopetra in the south of Cephalonia, there is a place where an unusual phenomenon occurred in the past. One of the local rocks, or more precisely a part of it, started to move regularly (every 20 minutes). This phenomenon then disappeared in 1953 when the island was hit by one of the many earthquakes. The place is still tempting tourists even nowadays, who, together with the locals, check whether the rock starts moving again.
