The newly reconstructed museum of archaeological finds is located in the island capital of Chios near the port. The collection consists of excavations from different parts of the island dated back as early as to the Stone Age discovered in Agio Galas, or ancient objects from the site in Fana. The museum is hiding in particular such jewels like documentation of Alexander the Great, more than 3.5 thousand old vases and amphoras, or golden objects from the Hellenistic period. The museum is open daily and can be accessed for a fee.
