Karfas

The lively town of Karfas, one of the biggest and most sought-after resorts on the island, is located on the east coast about 6 km from the capital. It is said to have one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, and so, it is no wonder there are plenty of tourists heading there every summer. The place has enough accommodation capacity including hotels and rooms in private residences. Obviously you will find there a variety of eating facilities including traditional tavernas, restaurants, bars, cafés, and nightclubs with night entertainment. If you decide to cook yourself, you can visit the local grocery store. In the town, you will find an ATM, a bus stop with regular connection to the capital, an internet café, and a rental service of cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

Karfas beaches

The main asset of the local long beach is its fine sand and very clean sea water at the coast, sloping down very gently. Therefore children can bathe safely playing with sand, while the adults can take a rest on the soft sand carpet (the active ones can play beach volleyball or practice some of the water sports). On the beach you will find both umbrellas and deckchairs and the necessary refreshment.
