One of the most beautiful beaches of the island with dark orange sand surrounded by cypresses is located 40 km from the capital of Kerkyra. It is a long beach with crystal clear water and a very gentle slope into the water, which will be appreciated especially by families with small children or less skilled swimmers. The beach, although pertaining to the best ones on the island, is not too well-known, and so it preserves a calm atmosphere without loud recorded music. On one part of the beach, you will find umbrellas with deckchairs and a few tavernas and bars. The beach is big enough and so everyone can find there a bit of space, including those searching for privacy.
