This museum is unique in the whole Greece since it is the only one dedicated to this field and its collection is quite vast, including more than ten thousand of rare objects covering several thousands of years of Asian history. You will find there everything including ceramics, bronze decorations and sculptures. Apart from China, the collection is also focused on Japan, India or Tibet, so, you can also see there oriental weapons, fabrics, sculptures and furniture.

The museum was founded in 1927 mainly with the contribution of the former Greek diplomat, Grigorios Manos, and a few more contributors. It is situated in the Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George in the centre of Kerkyra (Esplanade).
