Vidos Island

This small (and for the time being secret) piece of paradise can be found right opposite the port in the island capital of Kerkyra, and you can get there only within 10 minutes on a fishing boat going there and back every hour, wth the last boat departing at 1:30 at night. Right at the port wharf, you will find a traditional taverna tempting to sit down and enjoy some tasty dish and a glass of delicious wine. From the tavernas, there is a beautiful view on the opposite Venetian architecture of Kerkyra. The best is to follow the Greek phrase ´siga siga´, and savour such experience in the rhythm of Greek music till the night when the town is illuminated by thousands of lights.

If you are longing to bathe in complete provacy, then tun left at the taverna, and after an about 20 minutes walk, you will find yourself on an abandoned beach with clean water, shadowed by tall trees. Most probably, you will be there alone.
