The local Archaeological Museum in the centre of the island capital of Ios can boast an interesting collection offering an insight to the life of the island inhabitants many hundreds and even thousands of years ago. You can see there pieces of art including ceramics, inscriptions and paintings on stone or clay, articles of daily use, and many other findings.

The museum is open daily only till 2 PM and except Mondays. It can be accessed for free.
