Frikes Resort

Frikes is a picturesque village with a fishing port, the favourite anchorage ground of the trip sailing boats with tourists, increasing the concentration of inhabitants in this locality with the normal population of only 23 permanent inhabitants. This traditional place with a very friendly atmosphere can be found in the north of Ithaka Island.

What to do there?

Although the place has been spared mass tourism, and so it is unspoiled, you will find there a small shop, bars, and four tavernas with delicious home-made cuisine. The locals are very open and generous, and so after a few days, you will feel like at home.

Who is Frikes suitable for?

The port village 18 km north of Vathy is suitable mainly for travellers searching for traditional place not affected by commercial tourism, surrounded by beautiful nature. During the summer months when trip sailing boats arrive at the port, the village gets livelier and has a very nice atmosphere. Friskes is a perfect point of departure for hiking tours, and in case you feel like visiting a larger town, there is nothing easier than get on a ferry, regularly departing from the local port, and visit the charming Fiskardo on Cephalonia Island.
