Vathi Resort

Kalymnos Island is characteristic with its mountainous surface. Despite that, you will also find there fertile places, formed mainly by two lowlands: Pothia and Vathi. They are about 10 km far from each other, with Pothia located in the south and Vathi in the north. The valleys are the realm of farmers who grow there olive and citrus trees.

The port of Vathi, bearing the same name as the whole region, lies in a long and narrow bay formed by a stretch of sky-blue sea surface surrounded by a weird scenery of parched hills and green plains. With its strange shape, the bay resembles a fjord or an oasis (which is also as it is sometimes called)
