The Diakoftis beach is located in the south-east of Karpathos. It is a sandy neck of land with beaches on both sides. One part is turned to the east, the other one to the west. The beach is not equipped and it has no green vegetation of something that could help you to hide in the shade on the hot sunny days. There is no shade at all, and so bringing your own umbrellas is recommended. Yet in the top season, it can happen someone from the locals will take there the deckchairs and umrellas. In all cases, you should bring there enough drinking water.
