This ‘saint monastery’ as this place is called is located in the easternmost point of Kythira island, approx. 30 north-east of the capital, close to the village of Diakofti. It is relatively new as it was built in the first half of the 19th century, and it is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and Christ the Saviour. During August, celebrations of the Virgin Mary are regularly held in the place, and throughout the whole year, you can feast your eyes on the beautiful view on the surroundings.
