The Byzantine museum, located in the authentic environment of the Byzantine church of Analipsi, is situated near Kythira capital, only a few kilometres north in a place called Kato Livadi. In its premises, you can find rare paintings, frescoes, floor mosaics, and other architectural elements coming from different eras that were gathered from abandonned or demolished churches, castles and other historical sites on the island and then restored.

The museum is open on working days till the afternoon.
