The cave of St. Sofia, surprisingly hiding a strange chapel, is located at the height of 60 m above the Kokala bay, close to the village of Milopotamos north-west of the Kythira capital. In the rock cavity wrapped in mythical stories, you can see a unique cave full of stalactite organ and some terrifying cave sceneries. The chapel is dedicated to St. Sofia, since it was in this very place where her remains were found. This unique natural attraction of Kythira island can be visited daily except Mondays and holidays. The cave can be accessed for a fee.
