Agiofilli
The Agiofilli Beach is a small, about 130 metre wide bay surrounded by high hills and rocks. Its surface is formed by a mix of sand and little snow-white pebbles. The beach is very romantic, yet also quite overcrowded during the day. As the bay is surrounded by rocks, the sun falls there only in the afternoon, and so the sea is a bit colder than in other parts of the island. You can get there by boat or walking, with a view on the bay and the opposite part in the nearby Vasiliki. The beach is also suitable for snorkelling as the sea there is incredibly clear. You will find there only umbrellas and deckchairs in several rows. If you decide to visit the Agiofilli Beach, you should pack enough drinking water as there are no refreshment facilities and the closest tavernas and shops can be found in Vasiliki. The best time to visit this charming beach is early in the morning when the water is still quite cold and there are no sun’s rays falling on the beach, but if you do get up early, you wille be rewarded by complete privacy. Another possibility how to escape the crowds is to go there late in the afternoon.or in the early evening.
