The Archaeological Museum, the largest museum on Lemnos island, can be found by all history lovers in the capital of Myrina. The nice historical building that once served even the ruling Turkish elites, gathers mainly the findings from the local historical sites. Those rare remains of the past generations are dated back as early as the prehistoric times, but the whole exhibition covers a much longer historical period till the Hellenistic era. The three-storey edifice is hiding unique statues, engravings, marble columns, ceramics, tombstones, and more artistic objects of the rich local history.
