The church, or more precisely a basilica or a cathedral, can be found in the very centre of the Lesbos capital, Mytilene. The origins of this religious building date back to the turn of the 16th and 17th century. In its interior, you will find the remains of St. Theodore, the patron saint of the island. Besides that, you can see there the rich decoration with paintings, icons and woodcarving jewels. From to outside, it is impossible not not notice the church tower rising to the height of 30 metres with many ornamental elements, hiding several bells and a clock on its very top.
