In the ancient times, theatre played an important role both in Greece and elsewhere, and so it seems natural a theatre was built also on such a big island as Lesbos. Today only remnants of it have been preserved, yet you can still see its original shape on the remaining perimeter walls. It can be found in the capital and was built several hundred of years BC.
