The Folklore Museum of Lesbos can be found in the capital in the north-east of the island. Its collections cover various eras of the island history from the 17th century till nowadays, showing the life of the local inhabitants. You can see there both articles of daily use as well as artistic and decorative objects like ceramics, dishes, paintings, clothes and costumes, fabrics, embroidery, jewellery, woodcarvings, furniture, weapons, and several thousand of books and documents. In the souvenir shops, you can even buy some of the local products (or their models) as a keepsake or a gift for your family and friends.
