Archaeological Museum on Delos
The Archaeological Museum on the island of Delos can be found south-west of mykonos. In fact Delos is one of the largest and most significant historical sites in Greece, and so it naturally suggested itself to become a site of a museum. Today the repository of rare artfacts that has been enlarged several times is more than 100 years old.
In the museum, you can admire ceramics (some even from the prehistoric era), articles of daily use, artistic objects made of ivory, marble, gold and bronze, statues revelaing scenes of ancient mythology, bronze masks, paintings, and more.
The museum is open daily except Mondays. It can be accessed for a fee (there is a discount for children, students and the elderly).
