The Folklore Museum is one of the three museums that can be found in the Apiranthos village near the very centre of the island. The aim of the authors of the exhibition was to take the visitors to the old times of the 18th and 19th centuries. And so, you can walk through the rooms with typical furnishings of that time, including furniture, articles of daily use, clothing but also musical instruments; like if the man of that time had just left his home. You will certainly be amazed by the dexterity of the ancient masters, but also mistresses, since Naxos women were renown for their handiworks, namely hand woven fabrics.
