Besides the cathedral and the Archaeological Museum, in the premises of the medieval Venetian castle from the 13th century, you will find also the Venetian Museum. In the original 800 years old edifice (Venetian, of course), the visitors will immediately find themselves in the past. You can see there genuine Venetian rooms in Byzantine style, including the dining room and bedroom, but also the library and a chapel. From one of them, there is even a unique view on the angular gateway of Portrara rising above the port. Yet one of the most interesting parts of the visit are the wine cellars including a tasting of the local quality production. In other rooms, you can admire ceramics, statues, paintings and jewllery. In the gardens, various cultural events are held, and in the little shop you can buy something as a souvenir.
