Epidaurus theatre

East of Mycenae, you can find a town of Epidaurus. Apart from its nice beaches and relaxation, you should definitely not miss the ancient theatre from the period of more than 2 500 years ago. It is a huge rounded amphitheatre that will literally take your breath away. It has been preserved in a very good state, and so, you can experience the atmosphere of dramas and plays performed there in the ancient times. The auditorium could accommodate up to 14 thousand spectators, and thanks to its construction assuring perfect acoustic conditions, the actors could entertain everyone even without the use of microphones or technology.
