Palamida Fortress
The castle of Palamida is a Venetian military fortress built on the peak of 216 m high hill above the town of Nafplio.
The castle was built during the second Venetian occupation of the territory between 1711 and 1714. It is a typical example of baroque military architecture, being the hugest Venetian fortress ever.
From the castle, there is an impressive view on the town of Nafplio and the whole Argolida region.
