Argolida Region

Argolida is a rather small, maily farming region in the east of the Peloponnese. There are olives and oranges grown there, and you will find there a few historically significant town like Nafplio, Argos and Troezen. The regions has been permanently inhabited since the Neolithic: about 2000 BC, it was inhabited by the Achaeans, and during the subsequent centuries (between 1580 and 1100 BC), it belonged to the most densely populated places in Greece.
