The beautiful places on Skiathos have always been tempting for photographers trying to depict at least some of the beauty on photographic paper and so keep it for the upcoming generations. The tradition of photography on Skiathos is quite varied, and so, naturally there was the need to create a place where the works and their authors would be gathered. In the 1990s, the Museum of Photography was founded as a place of meeting for all interested in photography from the whole Greece and world. There are exhibitions, lectures and debates held regularly.
