The museum of industry and technology can be found in Ermopoulis, Syros capital. The exhibition offers an insight into the island architecture and industry through photographs, historical documentation, maps and drawings. Outside the museum, you will find building and production machines from the island, continental Greece and the rest of Europe. The museum’s curiosity are the remains of the sunken Greek steamer from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The industrial part of the exhibition is dedicated to construction industry, boat construction, textile production, wood treatment, glass and paper industries, food processing and other fields. It counts about three hundred objects from the 19th and 20th century altogether.
