In the charming little town called Ano Syros with houses built on the slope forming a magnificent colourful pyramid, you will find a museum of the famous Greek musician and virtuoso, Markos Vamvakaris. Obviously you will find more legacies of this famous folklore artist in the town, inluding the local square.

In the more than 13-year old Museum of Markos Vamvakaris, you will find objects related to his life and career, including his personal belongings, clothing and shoes, photographs and other documentation. The museum is located in the house that was his own, so, the exhibition is placed in a completely authentic environment.
