If you are inetersted in getting to know the local culture, you can visit the Folklore Museum if you travel further to the interior to the south-east part of Thassos to the village of Theologos south of the capital. In a traditional two-storey house with stone ornamentation, you can know the traditions of the local inhabitants. On the ground floor, you will find working and craft tools of the original settlers, furniture and more articles of daily use. On the first floor, you can see the individual rooms of a traditional island house. The museum can be accessed for a small fee (the entrance for children is for free).
