The Achla Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, yet this fact is compensated by quite a difficult access path. The 8 km long stretch of an unpaved road is passable only by a jeep, or on a motorcycle and paying great attention. 

The sea is turquoise and the water is clean and crystal clear. The soil consists of white pebbles, and a few metres from the beach, there is a rivulet flowing into the sea, surrounded by plane trees. The bay is quite well protected also against windy weather. There is no beach service; and its romantic atmosphere is intensified by a small church at the top of the rocks, Agios Nikolaos, and a lighthouse. On the beach there is one small canteen with no regular opening hours; you can have some refreshment there only during the top season.
