The Archaeological Museum with plenty of precious exhibits is located in the Cephalonia capital of Argostoli. Its collections from the local sites can boast rarities from the prehistoric until the Roman era. The museum has a remarkable exhibition dedicated to the Mycenaean era from which statues, weapons, coins, ceramics, jewellery and some articles oof daily use have been preserved.

The museum is open daily except Mondays and can be access for a fee (it has a discount for ome groups of visitors and the entrance for students and children under 18 is for free).
