There are six beaches in the resort of Paleokastritsa, hidden amidst the rocks and hills covered with olive trees. The water there is exceptionally clean and clear, and so, it is no wonder is can boast the Blue Flag, the EU award for top qualityy. The beaches have various surface, yet mostly they are sandy or pebble ones, or have small stones. Some of them can only be accessed by sea. The main beach is a sandy one and it is hidden in a charming bay surrounded by rocks. You will find there umbrellas and deckchairs but also toilets and showers and the beach is also suitable for the disabled. The local waters are proding into snorkelling during which you can discover many beauties of the undersea world. Obviously there is also a line of tavernas and bars along the coast, offering everything you may imagine to satisfy their customers.
