Paleokastritsa Resort
Paleokastritsa is said to be one of the most beautiful parts on Corfu. It is a famous tourist resort with thousands of tourists arriving every year and also a frequent target of tourist trips, with buses taking tourists to visit the local monastery and then to the village of Lakones, with a splendid view on the whole area from the place called Bella Vista. Near the village of Krini, there is a path leading to the ruins of the Angelokastro Castle.
What to do in Paleokastritsa?
From the port in Paleokastritsa, there are small boats departing to the places on the west coast of the island, including the beautiful beaches that can only be accessed by boat. You can also go to see the area of blue lagoons - the Blue Eye Cave. Paleokastritsa is a perfect place both for a longer stay but also a one-day trip, as it has everything - clean water and beaches, water sports, rich nightlife and plenty of small shops and supermarkets where you can buy souvenirs. To enjoy a calm dinner, you can try some of the local tavernas located towards the island interior, visited also by the locals.

The beaches in Paleokastritsa are covered with pebbles, with the main beach being quite lively, especially during the high season. It is fully equipped and offers all kinds of water sports and other attractions, you can also rent there a paddle boat. In the resort suroundings, there are other smaller beaches, mostly pebbly ones, but more peaceful. If you go diving and snorkelling there, it will certainly be a great experience, enebaling to to explore the local undersea life.
