Agios Stefanos East

Agios Stefanos is an extraordinarily charming original fishing village located on the north-east of Corfu. You will find there a typical Greek housing development of simple houses and villas inhabited by the autochtonuous Greek community, renowned for its hospitality and friendly behaviour. The village has been built close to  natural bay protected by the surrounding high rocks, and so, offering peace but still all the comfort for a nice holiday.

You can only find accommodation there on the spot as there is no travel agency offering tours to the place (at least this was the case in 2012). If you are searching for a resort where travel agencies offer their tours, you can try Agios Stefanos. In the village there are several tavernas and little shops along the bay. In the port, there anchor little boats and yachts, and you can also rent there a motor boat.

The beach in Agios Stefanos East is located on the north end of the village and it is formed by small pebbles. The entry into the water is covered with rocks and difficult to pass - it if definitely worth having water shoes. The water there is crystal clear and there are few people bathing, so you can observe the undersea life without being disturbed.
