Kouloura
Kouloura village
Kouroula is originally a fishing bay with a view of Albania situated on the north-east coast of Corfu near the popular resort of Kalami about 30 km from the island capital of Kerkyra. Its landmark is the local port (which you will find on most postcards from the place)
Tourist background
This peaceful place undisturbed by excessive tourism is sought-after mainly by people longing to have a rest in a romantic bay amidst greenery. You will find there only one taverna, while the closest shop is situated in the resort of Kalami located within 20 minutes of walking distance. Transport is assured by local buses stopping on the main road above the village, yet it is much better to rent a car or a scooter.
Beach
The sand and pebble beach can be found on the opposite side of the bay than the port. It has no equipment, so you will find there no umbrellas or deckchairs; yet thanks to this, the place preserves its romantic atmosphere.
