Lastos village

A limestone plateau at the height of approx. 800 m under the highest peak of the island, Kali Limni (1215 m). You can get there on a signposted turn-off from the road Volada – Othos. There is a narrow tarmac road leading up to the taverna of Kali Kardia from where a signposted track to the peak of Kali Limni starts (there is a path also to the Flaskias Gorge ending on the coast near the settlement of Adia. In the 1950s, Lastos has only about 1 000 inhabitants. Today there are herdsmen and some corn and wine are grown in the place.
