Menetes village
A charming medieval village with narrow crooked streets, pastel houses and a parish church built on a steep slope, forming a higly visible landmark of Menetes. The village has about 500 inhabitants.
Places of interest:
- Church of Kimissis tis Theotokou from 1845. In its interior, you can see marble columns from the early Christian basilica Ag. Anastasia from the period between the 5th and 6th century discovered close to the nearby Arkassa.
- A ´photogenic bend´ near the village cemetery with a monument from the World War II
- Folklore Museum of Menetes and the Church of Agios Antonios on the left with frescoes estimated to be 800 years old
- Little church of Agios Spiridonas with a splendid view on the village and mountainous surroundings
