The Monolithos Beach lies on the eastern coast of Santorini, and it belongs to the most sought-after beaches on the island. It is especially popular among families with children as it has a gentle slope into the water, perfect for children’s games and having fun. Like almost everywhere on Santorini, the sand is dark here, too. The beach is fringed by trees and green vegetation and you will find there complete tourist equipment including tavernas and bars but also various beach sports. Since the Monolithos Beach is not protected by any hills or cliffs, during the windy days it is not so nice to stay there.

On its southern end, the beach passes continuously to the Kamari Beach.
