Kefalos
Kefalos Resort
In the south-west of Kos, about 45 km from the capital, you will find a small and at the same time the most photographed promontory bearing the name of Kefalos. The peninsula is an ideal option to spend a peaceful holiday. Together with the oposite island of Kastri where a small church rises, the small bay lined by sandy beaches, makes the area even more attractive.
Beaches
Kefalos can offer three nice sandy beaches: Kamari, Agios Stefanos and Katerina. All of them are obviously equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs and you will find there a wide choice of water sports, especially windsurfing and water skiing. If you want to experience some adrenaline, you can rent a motorboat and go on a romantic trip to the opposite island, or explore the coast nearby. Or you can go snorkelling - near the Basilica of Agios Stephanos, you will find remains of an old settlement under the water surface.
Tourist background
The whole coast of Kefalos is lined by traditional tavernas, bars and cafés. All the action in the resort is concentrated near the promenade ending in the local port from where pleasure boats depart. You will also find there a variety of shops, ATMs and car rental services.
