Eftalou Resort

The Eftalou resor, famous for its thermal springs, is located on the north coast of Lesbos only a few kilometres from another famous recreational resort of Molivos.

Eftalou beaches

The local beaches, dominated by lava rock formations, are covered with little pebbles and stones, with the water being perfectly clean and beautifully blue, which is perfect combination not only for bathing but also for exploring the beauties of the undersea world with a snorkel or diving. From the coast, you can see up to the Turkish mainland. Nonetheless, the water there is relatively cold because of cold sea currents.

What to do in Eftalou

The thermal springs have healing water rich in minerals used for medical purposes. The edifice in which they are located is open to the public and offers different spa services. You can relieve yourself from your problems with rheumatism, neurological, urinary tract and blood circulation problems, skin diseases,  or cure some of the female sexual organs illnesses. ear the springs, the water blends with sea water, forming little pools. The spa buildings have their opening times and some of them can only be accessed for a fee; but a bath in the more than 45°C hot water is really worth it. If you want to explore also other parts of the island than Eftalou and the nearby resort of Molivos, there is nothing easier than renting a car in some of the rental services, and go.

The accommodation facilities in Eftalou include hotels, some of them with their own swimming pools, and private accommodation. In the place there is a wide choice of catering facilities including bars, restaurants and tavernas with nice staff who speaks English.
