Skala Mystegna
Skala Mystegna Resort
Skala Mystegna, a charming town in the waters of the Aeegean Sea, is a traditional Greek island village with a sleepy pace of life. You will find it on the east coast of Lesbos about 15 km from the capital. Skala Mystegna is suitable for all who are searching for nice relaxation under the hot Greek sun, and want to enjoy their stay on the coast of turquoise waters far from overcrowded resorts and endless bustle.
Skala Mystegna beach
The beach in this location is a bit more narrow than in other famous resorts, yet it can boast exceptionally clean water, washing the coast covered with colourful pebbles and stones (often reddish ones, typical for the region and used in the local architecture). The seabed slopes down only gently into the sea depths, and so, bathing is really safe. You can rent there an umbrella and a deckchair and indulge in carefree idling.
What to do in Skala Mystegna
In Skala Mystegna there are several tavernas and cafés, and in the local shops, you can buy souvenirs, basic foodstuffs, and other articles. Yet since the offer is not really wide, it is recommendable to rent a car so that you could set off to know the beauties in the surroundings, too. If you prefer walking though, you can visit e.g. the nearby village of Mystegna.
