Votsalakia Resort

In the south-west of the Samos island, under the lofty Mount Kerkis (about 1 400 m), there lies the village of Votsalakia, sought-after by tourists mainly for its peaceful and undisturbed atmosphere, and therefore very suitable for families with children or elderly couples. Restaurants, bars and traditional tevarnas offer freshly prepared and delicious meals to their visitors of both Greek and international cuisine. You should also try some of the dishes made of fish and fresh vegetables, or typical Greek delicacies likes mezedes or souvlaki. The restaurant owners are counting even on the smallest ones and will be happy to adapt to them. You can also find bars and restaurants close to the beach.

Tap water in Votsalakia is drinkable and tasty (to the local water supply network, it is drawn from the mountains). 

The resort also has an ATM machine and a medical care centre.

Nightlife in Votsalakia is very peaceful, and so, even families with really small children don´t need to be afraid about the sleep of their offspring. Wild parties unti the dawn have been replaced by the possibility to spend romantic evenings enjoying some tasty dish or walk on the beach in the starlight.

Votsalakia surroundings

The surroundings of the resort are a true paradise for all who love walking in the nature. When romaing in the hills, you can encounter e.g. a monastery with a splendid view on the landscape. Those who are physically fit can climb to the very peak of the mountain. About 13 km from Votsalakia, you will find the town of Karlovassi you can visit by bus, a boat, or on a rented bicycle, for example.
