Amoopi
Amoopi Resort
A place for perfect relaxation on a beautiful beach with turquoise sea water, surrounded by wide rocks - that is Amoopi. Its scenery will literally enthrall you. This little paradise on Karpathos is waiting for its visitors on the south-east coast only 10 km from the island capital.
Amoopi beaches
Amoopi has two beaches: the small one, Mikri, and the big one, Megali. Mikri is rather calm, and, as its name suggests, its area is not really large. Yet it can boast fine goldish sand and sky-blue water. With its rocks, the sea there is suitable for diving. On the contrary, the bigger beach of Megali, also called Votsalakia, can boast a large area and being more popular, although its surface isn´t covered by sand but rather small pebbles. This is where tourists, both young and elderly, come to savour the local atmosphere. Except for water pleasures, you can play volleyball on the beach where you will also find umbrellas and deckchairs.
In the surroundings there are a few more small where you can bathe naked (yet nudism is prohibited in Greece, so you should be careful).
