Agios Sostis
Agios Sostis Resort
The calm resort of Agios Sostis, located between the resorts of Laganasa and Limmi Keri, is suitable for spending a romantic, peaceful and undisturbed holiday. Agios Sostis got its name after a small island, separated from the mainland by an earthquake in 1633, located only a few dozens of metres from the beach. The island (called Cameo by the locals, according to the disco which can be found on it) was named after a little church that used to stand there in the 16th century. There is a wooden bridge from the coast to the island, connecting this beautiful resort of Agios Sostis with a place full of weird rock formations, little bays and tall pine trees. On the island, there is a nice pebbly beach (it belongs to a bar, so you are supposed to buy some refreshment if you want to use it).
Agios Sostis beach
The rather narrow but long sandy beach of Agios Sostis with a gentle slope into the sea is suitable even for families with small children and follows up with the big town beach of Laganas. You can also walk to the nearby beach of Porto Koukla which is more spatious and has a sandy surface, too.
