Argassi Resort

The continuously developing resort of Argassi is one of the most popular resorts of summer holiday on Zakynthos. It is located in the south-east of the island only a few kilometres away from the capital. To its visitors, it offers everything they need to enjoy their perfect Greek holiday.

Argassi is set in a picturesque nature, with the over 700 m high Mount Skopos in the background, offering a magnificent view on the wide surroundings (if you do decide to make a slightly demanding climb). On your way, you will encounter plenty of green secluded places, colourful flowers and some animals like birds or butterflies.

What to do in Argassi

From Argassi, you can travel by public buses or a rented car, motorbike, bicycle, or you can use a taxi or walk. In the surroundings of Argassi, you can discover the remains of ancient times, a Roman stone bridge, a medieval tower, churches and monasteries.

There are enough accommodation facilities in the place, including hotels, bungalows and private rooms in family villas, depending on your budget. Many of the catering facilities offer both Greek dishes and international cuisine to satisfy your sweet tooth. In some of the traditional places, you can indulge in listening to live music and dance - and it has to be said that moving in the rhythm of the music forms an integral part of Argassi live. The local nightlife is concentrated mainly in nightclubs and discos. Those who like passive sports can watch live broadcast of sports matches in the local sports bars. Or you can take part in karaoke session or a singing competition. You will also find there all the necessary shops where you can buy pastry, drinks and other foodstuffs, clothes, gifts, jewellery and souvenirs.

Argassi beach

The long beach in Argassi (although not being the largest in terms of its width), offers enough comfort for all. You will find there umbrellas, deckchairs and showers, but also different water sports like water skiing, scooters or paragliding. The beach itself is rather narrow but it is followed up with the gardens of a hotel that can be used for sunbathing, too. On the dry land, you can play minigolf and the children can rollick on bouncy castles or go to see the animals in a small zoo. Besides all that, there are other beaches in the surroundings, offering more privacy.
