Prinos Resort

Prinos, located on the north-west side of Thassos, is the largest town and a cultural and trade centre with quite a lot of permanent inhabitants. Thanks to the oil deposits in the sea, the town is financially self-sufficient: you will find there a countless number of attractive little tavernas, restaurants and bars, but also shops with a variety of goods, including local products like olive oil, home-made honey and typical souvenirs like magnets, postcards, little statues, and more. If you happen to be in the town on 30 June or 27 July, then don´t miss the local festivals celebrating the Saint Apostles that are a truly extraordinary experience.

In Prinos there is medical care including an emergency ward. For acute and complicated cases, you need to go to the hospital in Kavala on the Greek mainland.
