Skala Prinos Resort

Skala Prinos is a small and very peaceful resort. You will find there shops with foodstuffs and basic articles but also a souvenir shops with summer clothes. There are a few tavernas where you can sit down and spend a nice evening, and a café and a snack (gyros) bar. Don´t expect any nightlife though. For medical care, you need to visit to nearby village of Prinos located 2 km far away (where a local market is held regularly as well).

What to do in Skala Prinos?

In Skala Prinos, there is a port with regular boat connection to the mainland. The journey to Kavala with a beautiful aqueduct, castle and famous markets takes 1 hour and 20 minutes. There are also boats departing for sightseeing tours from the port. 

If you are interested in the island interior and historical sites, you can rent a car or a scooter, or you can walk about 2 km on a tarmac road to the nice inland village of Prinos. The village of Skala Rachoni about 4 km far can also be reached by walking. To go to the 16 km distant capital, use a bus.

The beach

The beach in Skala Prinos has a pebbly surface, towards Skala Rachoni changing into a sandy one. The seabed varies - a part of its is sandy, another part is covered with pebbles. The slope into the water is gentle and you can rent umbrellas and deckchairs there.
