Stegna Resort

The Stegna resort is a small homely place giving a peaceful, almost sleepy impression. The little road leading to the place is a blind one, so there is not too much traffic either. The area can be found about 3 km from Archangelos located on the main road connecting the north and south of the island, approximately between Lindos and Faliraki. You will drive on a small tarmac road down to the sea and find yourself in a totally peaceful place. Once you get to the sea, the road leads to the right only. On your left hand, there are about 500 metres of tiny beaches (Stegna north) looking calm and romantic as there is almost no housing development in the area and you can walk there, too. Even during the high season, Stegna beaches are rather peaceful and not overcrowded.

When turning to the right, the small road will take you around a small port to a bay with an about 800 m long beach (Stegna south). The beach is a sandy one, about 30-50 m wide, and offers everything you might need for sunbathing. There are no huge hotel complexes but family suites and bungalows on the slope, and tavernas, small shops and bars along the street passing all along the beach.

Who is Stegna suitable for?

Don´t expect any bustling nightlife, discos or noisy entertainment. Stegna offers peace and romanticism where you can sunbathe on the beach during the day, and go for a walk in the evening or sit down over some tasty dish or drink, listening to the murmuring of the sea. Given the resort character and its location, Stegna is also recommendable for families with children and all others who want to rent a car and travel on the island.

In Stegna, there is also a motorboat rental service, so you can also go for boat trips.
