Agia Fotia
Agia Fotia Resort
About 12 km east of Ireapetra, one of the most beautiful bays of south-east Crete is located near the picturesque village of Agia Fotia surrounded by mountains. The village has a peaceful atmosphere where the Greek saying ‘siga, siga’ holds true even more than anywhere else. For this reason, the area is sought after mostly by tourists but also the locals who prefer to stay in a calm place.
Beach and tourist equipment
The about 150 m long beach with mixed bedrock is lined by a row of tall cypresses providing shade. You will find there deckchairs with straw umbrellas. If you are lucky and walk up to the east end of the beach, you will find a spring of fresh drinkable water in the rocks. Right above the beach, there is a nice taverna with delicious home cuisine and several studios and suites for rent. In immediate vicinity you will find two more tavernas and a beach bar. In the centre of the village near the old church which gave the name to the village, you will find the fourth and the last of the tavernas.
