Georgioupolis
Georgioupolis Resort
The Georgioupolis resort is famous mainly for three things:
- A splendid sandy beach sloping very gently into the sea, about 9 km long and providing enough place for both entertainment and relaxation
- In Georgioupolis, it is the Almiros rivulet that empties there into the sea, with its banks covered with green vegetation where you can sit down in some of the many tavernas. Besides that, the fresh water and green vegetation provide enough living space for various animal species.
- Georgioupolis has a beautiful panorama. Towards the north, a rocky coast stretches, towards the east you will find a 10 km long sandy beach, and in the south, there rise the massive peaks of the Lefka Ori (White Mountains) to the height of 2 400 m.
