Agios Pavlos
Agios Pavlos Resort
The small village with peaceful atmosphere, Agios Pavlos, is located on the very coast in the south of Crete near the resort of Agia Galini. The village can be accessed from the main road from Timbaki passing through Spili, overcoming raised hillocks all the time long, enabling you to enjoy the panoramic view on the whole landscape.
Who is Agios Pavlos suitable for?
Besides a small white church carved into a rock, some tavernas, one hotel and a few houses, there is nothing else to be found. Yet the local peaceful atmosphere and amazing beach are a real balm to the soul. If you prefer traditional and peaceful places, there you can find your piece of paradise.
Beaches
In Agios Pavlos there are two beaches with nudists tolerated on both. The more accessible of the beaches even has several umbrellas with deckchairs available. The beach with the sand dune is harder to access as the only possible way passes through the very dune becoming so warm during the day that it is almost impossible to overcome (not mentioning you would need to climb it again on your way back). Therefore we recommend to only visit it in the late afternoon when the sun’s rays are not so intense and the sand is getting colder. The sea there is crystal clear and the water is perfect for diving and snorkelling.
